Life is a journey of learning to discriminate what we should hold on to and what we should let go of. Often, we have a tendency to let go of things we might benefit from letting go of, and to let go of things that we should hold on to. Knowing what we should hold on to and let go of comes from understanding ourselves, our lives and what we need. What will benefit us and what might hurt us?
Holding on can mean embracing our values, relationships, and goals that shape us, form our self-beliefs and our purpose. At the same time, in order to mature into the person we want to become requires letting go—of past hurts, limiting beliefs, and even dreams that no longer serve us.
This balance is delicate. Knowing what and when to hold on or let go comes from life experiences and what we have learnt from the various situations we find ourselves in
Wisdom lies in discerning which paths to pursue and which to release, knowing that both actions teach resilience and bring clarity, guiding us toward a life of authenticity and fulfillment.
